 and our new flagship Google pixel watch only been waiting for this I've got the pixel watch here in India Excel watch that I got from the US for around 28 29 000 rupees because Google again thought why would Indians actually need this and there's a lot of hype around this watch it's Google's first smart watch there's the whole Fitbit features the unique minimalistic design but also the negative reviews the size the bugs what have they done done so I've been using this for almost a week now and this is a watch that has some big pros and equally big cons but right of the bat if you ask me I think Google should have launched this in India so three things really caught my eye when I first started to use the pixel watch and all of them are quite weird first is the fact that this watch uses the new pixel watch App instead of the wear OS app I mean it has fast pair support so you get 

this prompt to quickly set it up and you just set it up without any issues now this is what should have happened instead I faced pairing issues and turns out it's happening with everyone second what's even weirder is that you need two apps to set up this one watch the pixel watch app as well as the Fitbit app things don't end here obviously if you want to use all the Fitbit features in the pixel watch to its full potential you will need to get the Fitbit premium subscription you do get a free trial of six months but after six months you'll have to pay ten dollars a month yeah anyway this whole mess apart I Used the Pixel Watch in India Google Pixel Watch

 another thing that got my attention first up was obviously the design which I would call different distinct displayed okay I've run out of synonyms actually I have mixed feelings I personally sort of like this whole infinite sort of Dome design and I like that it has a stainless steel build so it should do better against scratches unlike Apple watches whose base models come with aluminum finishes while stainless steel ones are crazy expensive but I said mixed feelings because despite of the fact that the whole UI is dark to conceal the bezel they are still very noticeable also the pixel watch only comes in this one size 41 mm now I know we always say that looks are subjective but this is a bit too small for me that's what she said also thanks to the whole circular design it even looks smaller than the Apple watch 41 millimeter and the difference is even noticeable in front of a 45mm Apple watch and this is how it looks like in front of the huge Max Pro Ultra Supernova version of the Apple watch yeah the pixel watch is small and I really think 

Google should launch abigger size in the Next Generation anyway you get the clown here and you can use this to open the app drawer go home or even scroll and it's a bit stiff like you have some resistance but the haptic feedback on this is actually amazing it's really nice there's another button here which shows recently launched apps and triggers Google assistant on long press now I know this is sort of a thick design but it is I Used the Pixel Watch in India Google Pixel Watch

 comfortable to wear it's snug and the strap is high quality too but wait till you try and remove the strap because that's a bit of a learning curve so you need to press this button and then slide the band towards that button to remove the strap and it sounds all easy but it's actually not now credit is due the AMOLED display on the pixel watch is seriously good as good as you'd get on say an Apple Watch it's responsive to touch it's sharp looks vibrant and it's bright which is very important watches I mean I had no issues using it outdoors and I like the router brightness works well and if you still feel that the brightness is not good enough there is a sunlight boost option in this watch that you can turn on to get the maximum thousand nits and if you're wondering there's also touch to wake and also race to wake or till to wake as Google calls it and it's responsive as a protection the watch comes with gorilla glass 5 which shouldn't be as durable as this fire glass but so far it looks fine and doesn't have any scratches look I've

shared my thoughts on the unique design of the pixel watch but what I was more concerned about is will all the pixel watch features work here in India turns out most of them do some Road first what's not working so Google is apparently not activated the blood oxygen sensor in the pixel watch yet I mean these are all the sensors the pixel watch comes with and these are official specs and you can see the blood oxygen sensor but that isn't enabled then there's ECG which wasn't available at first but then we filled around with a few settings in the Fitbit app and it appeared in the watch and it works that expect it monitors your heart rate for 30 seconds and then tells you if there are any irregularities then there's the Fitbit app now the Fitbit integration in the pixel watch is actually good but I did notice a lot of sync issues in the Fitbit app now I'm not sure if this is a Fitbit issue or if it's an issue with pixel watch in India but it happened quite regularly so it is a little Annoying apart from that though everything just works I mean Fitness track is actually very accurate be it step tracking sleep tracking and heart rate monitoring which is actually continuous with no option to change it and it's also super accurate and I love how instantly it changes there's also different workout options and I felt these options were a bit limited I Used the Pixel Watch in India Google Pixel Watch

compared to other watches but it's fine I think as for what you get with the Fitbit integration there are a number of these Fitbit apps pre-installed in the watch but Fitbit is known for its premium features like Advanced sleep tracking Wellness supports mindfulness sessions video workouts the Fitbit community and you get out of that withthe pixel watch and like I said you get it free for six months honestly if you are into fitness tracking you will find the Fitbit app the Fitbit integration inthe pixel watch actually useful but there are a couple of important features  missing in this watch one there is no automatic workout detection which is something I was really expecting because this is a high-end premium watch from Google and second it does not detect swim Strokes which is something that Apple watch does so I kind of miss these I Used the Pixel Watch in India Google Pixel Watch

features on the pixel watch anyway let's talk about where OS and pixel watch comes with where OS 3.5 and I actually like it look it has this clean minimal look you expect from Google and I appreciate this because the Galaxy watch 5 also has wear OS but it has a one UI skin on top that I feel is a bit cartoonish whereas on the pixel watch on the other hand is very clean and very nice I also like the watch faces from Google especially this concentric watch face which I think really goes with the whole circular design now this is proper wear OS and you are familiar with this UI they're Quick Settings notifications the tiles and you get all the basic apps along with the play store so you can download more apps and the apps also work very well so no problems there for example Google Maps on wearables is actually amazing it shows you the map along with the instructions if you swipe and there's also directions and it's quite handy for when you're walking or cycling I also really like Google Assistant on the pixel watch it's

 actually way faster to respond when compared to Siri whose favorite response is on it and then nothing I mean I can use Google Assistant here to control Google home which I think is very handy notifications were also timely and there's no latency and you could do things like replying to messages from the watch calling someone and much more as for calling the speaker is decent enough and it works fine superheros on the pixel watch is actually really nice but there's one little shot coming on the pixel watch now I'm not sure if it's a big problem but I did feel that the UI is a little bit clunky see I say clunky as in when you launch apps or use the crown to open the app drawer or just go from one page to another you can see a bit of lag in the animations I mean it's not as smooth as I expected now this might be due to the pixel watch using an older exynos chip but either ways I was expecting snappier performance for what is Google's premium watch to give you a better idea from the time the pixel watch starts booting to the time it is in its actual usable state it takes around one minute 30 seconds the Apple Watch series 7 from last year takes 40 seconds I also noticed a little bit of I Used the Pixel Watch in India Google Pixel Watch

latency when using the camera remotely from The Watch look most people will be fine with the performance of the pixel watch but I was just expecting more because come on it's Google it's the first watch it's a premium watch now one thing I was not expecting to be great is battery life I mean the specs are fine but every review of the pixel watch in the US mentions terrible battery life and it's true it's not very good but is it too bad I'm not really sure see when I was using the Apple watch I used to put it on in the morning with 100 charge and by the end of the day at around 8 9 pm the chart would be around 30 with the pixel watch uh it's the same I put it on in the morning at 100 and by the end of the day it's around 15 yeah it's not very good but it's not very bad as well because with the Apple watch you have to charge it at the end and it's the same with the pixel watch as well as for charging it's recently fast going to 100 around 80 minutes and there is support

for wireless charging too look you must have gotten a pretty good idea of the pixel watch by now and it's obviously not a perfect device it needs a lot of work in fact but I still think Google should maybe have brought this to India I say this because the price of the Wi-Fi only version of the pixel watch is 349 which is around 28 000 rupees and the pixel 7 has actually made me believe that this two might have launched at a good price say at around 30k and at 30k this could have been an interesting option even with its flaws because the 30k you get the Galaxy watch 5 not the watch 5 Pro you get the Apple watch SC Not the Apple Watch series 8. so you know what pixel watch could have been an interesting option for not iPhone users and non-samsung users especially not in the pixel 7 phones are also here I don't know what's your opinion on this should Google have launched this in India or should we wait for the second generation pixel watch which kind of evens out all the flaws comment and share blog thank you I Used the Pixel Watch in India Google Pixel Watch
